Natalka Sukhoverska (Head of Research and Education in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Associate Professor at The University of Sydney, (more here) – a medical physicist from Australia, once again visited Ukraine, namely, Kyiv, Odessa and Chernivtsi.
The Ukrainian Association of Medical Physicists together with representatives of the All-Ukrainian Center for Radiosurgery of the Feofania Clinical Hospital, Odessa Regional Oncology Dispensary, Bukovynian State Medical University (Chernivtsi) and Chernivtsi Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary organized activities for Natalka Sukhaverska specialists. Natalka Sukhoverska, in turn, made several reports, told about her research and scientific work, the state of cancer control and prevention in Australia, comparisons with other European countries and the United States and medicine in Australia in general.
Interesting discussions, debates, exchange of experiences and ideas took place in each of the institutions.
Ms. Natalka praised the activities of the Ukrainian Association of Medical Physics, which she follows on the official Facebook page and received a newsletter from UAMF, and expressed a desire to become a member of the Ukrainian Association of Medical Physicists and work together to develop medical physics in Ukraine.
We would also like to congratulate Ms. Natalka on her appointment as a member of the ESTRO meets Asia organizing committee, responsible for medical physics.
